- Ginnie
Springs - Come and enjoy our seven crystal-clear,
freshwater springs nestled in over 200 wooded acres
along the banks of the Santa Fe River.
Ginnie Springs is a mecca for serious scuba divers.
Nine springs, including the incredible Devil's Eye,
well up in sparkling abundance. Tubing and canoeing
on the Santa Fe River and camping in wooded sites
complement the excellent diving.
- Adventure
Post - Adventure Outpost offers guided and unguided
river trips on the Santa Fe and other High Springs
area rivers.
- Camp
Kulaqua - Located in High Springs, on 600 beautiful
acres of pine forests, towering oaks and crystal
clear springs. Camp Kulaqua, site of historic Hornsby
Springs where many prehistoric artifacts have been
recovered, offers horseback, camping, water sports
and a zoo.
- Blue Springs-Enjoy your picnic
in the shade provided by the many large oak trees
throughout the park. We have covered pavilions for
parties, family reunions or company picnics. If
it's swimming, picnicking, tubing or just relaxing
Blue Springs is sure to be your answer.
- Ichetucknee Springs State Park
– This park stretches along the crystal-clear,
spring-fed Ichetucknee River, about fifteen miles
north of High Springs. Dive the springs or drift
along on an innertube through unspoiled natural
wilderness.
- Poe Springs Park - Located five
miles west of High Springs on the Santa Fe River.
Recently rennovated, it has been a popular attraction
for decades.
- O'Leno State Park – This
park, located six miles north of the heart of High
Springs, is on the site of the old town of Leno.
Bypassed by the railroad, this unlucky town just
evaporated. In the 1930s, the Civilian Conservation
Corps developed it as one of Florida's first state
parks, and the rustic buildings and suspension bridge
the CCC built over the Santa Fe River are still
in use. Within the borders of the park is the land
bridge created when the river sinks below the surface,
only to emerge several miles away.
Tourism:
- Rustic
Inn
- Grady
House - Imagine yourself sipping lemonade
in a jasmine-covered gazebo, listening to the sounds
of a waterfall and watching koi swim playfully through
the water garden.
